ATL

Coaching for Champions!

At ATL, we address the need for transformational leadership to drive change in our communities and beyond.

"Remaking the world takes more than protest—it requires bold, proactive leadership."

Vision Statement

The establishment of the Academy for Transformational Leadership is based on the idea that in order to re-imagine and re-create the world as we dream it, we need the committed and focused engagement of transformational leaders working together across strategic sectors. There is so much wrong with the world, especially from the standpoint of Black people and majority black countries left behind in the ladder of development. Yet, remaking the world takes more than protesting against the ills in the world as it is. It is a much more, ambitious, more proactive process of working with what God has given us to remake a more equal, more just, world.

Mission Statement

The Academy for Transformational Leadership (ATL) is an international members organisation established to support the leadership aspirations of high flying professionals across strategic sectors in the ultimate drive towards collective good. In order to achieve this objective, ATL selectively enlists members who have explicit leadership aspirations, the drive to achieve it, and clear and strong commitment to generously sharing their knowledge and expertise to support the aspirations of others.

Programme of Services and Activities

ATL programme of services and activities will be shaped by the fundamental principle of delivering the best value in the most efficient manner. Thus, activities and activities will be driven by research and evidence, and targeted in such ways as to achieve the best outcomes speedily and comprehensively. The following provides a brief overview of this programme:

Monthly network meetings

This will be a mix of virtual and f2f meetings, and will provide an auspicious opportunity for members to network, encourage and spur each other to greater heights of excellence. The meeting will typically feature short talks from selected members, a spotlight section for specific members, usually one in each meeting, to share their leadership story, and a breakout session along the four sectors/streams outlined previously. Each meeting will end with a networking meal.

This is a critical aspect of ATL offering, and will backed up with painstaking research to ensure that they meet the targets in terms of state-of-the-art skills required for top leadership in each of the sectors.
Strategic investment will be made, where appropriate, to fund selected members to acquire these skills from external providers in order for them to serve as trainers for ATL members. These workshops will be delivered in hybrid, mostly virtual, formats, for easy access and optimal outcomes.

Strategic resources and services

Similar to trainings and workshops, strategic resources and services will be provided via the members section of the ATL website and other appropriate virtual platforms.

While a lot of programmes and activities will be aimed at bespoke and targeted towards support for members, ATL will also embark on outward facing interventions and projects in response to strategic needs and areas- for example support for young black people in STEM subjects and coding, strategic interventions in support of the Civil Society in African and majority black countries, snd special events organized in response to strategic needs.
